Matt Lusby leading the way at The Big Cheese

Congratulations to Matt Lusby who was first home on the very muddy and hilly Big Cheese race. Held on the 17th March, starting and finishing in Cheddar, The Big Cheese is a 15 mile off-road fell race across the Mendips Hills, with over 2000ft of climbing. The Big Cheese was the 3rd race in the Somerset Series

Matt was rewarded with a selection of cheese and crackers, complemented by a few Cheddar Ales for being first across the finish line.

Yeovil Half Marathon

On Sunday 24th March, a handful of Harriers hit the roads of Yeovil to complete the Yeovil Half Marathon. The route followed closed roads around the town centre before heading along the entire length of Yeovil Country Park. The route then left the town on the western side to Montacute House, before returning on quiet country roads to the Town Centre finish in the Quedam Shopping Centre.

Four Harriers made the journey to Hampshire, hoping for strong performances. Despite some strong winds, the conditions were near perfect.

15th Zak Hurrell - 1:11:34 (PB)

25th Alexander Coombs - 1:13:13 (PB)
