There was some excellent running once again at the latest monthly Yeovilton 5k road race with Adam Gibson (far left in photo above) leading the way for the Harriers with a fine 5th place finish. Photo also shows left to right: Laurence; Phil; Craig & Gary
Meanwhile, the National League team has now completed their season after the 3rd fixture and have finished an excellent 7th place out of the 16 teams competing. The National League is now a combined men’s & women’s League, replacing the British League of old.
The Yeovil Olympiads team, of which we are part, were promoted from Division One to the Championship this season, and did themselves proud by more than holding their own against some much bigger Clubs.
Matt Lusby once again contributed valuable points by competing in three track events; Mark Duffett achieved two personal bests; and u17 Tom Webb had another storming run.
We should also mention the sterling effort by the YOAC Chairman Geoff Cole to score team points when competing in the various throws.
This web report also includes a call for team members for the prestigious Southern Road Relays on 23rd September; and team managers to help manage individual age groups. Dates for the Wessex XC League are also listed here - start planning your autumn season.

That’s a pretty impressive time by Adam who joined us a short while back – interesting to see how quick he can go just the night after he was at the Tuesday training session!
