Annual Dinner - Friday 26th November at the Swan in Wells - see below for details. Bookings needed by 12th November. £20 per head.
ENTER the Series or an individual race online in advance please. No entry on night. £20 for 5 races for those with individual England Athletics registration; & £30 for those without EA. (£5/£7 for each individual race). Awards to all that are ‘first timers’ to etc.

Race HQ – URC Church hall (entry around the back) – opposite Living Homes on the High Street, Street – open 6.30pm. Leave your bag here; collect your number by 7.15pm.
Marshals – report by 7.10pm to be allocated to course position
Junior 1k & 2k races start at 7.27pm from outside the Royal British Legion Club, Farm Road, Street
5k race (ages 13 upwards) starts at 7.30pm
Presentations will take place in the Race HQ if at all possible subject to any Covid issues; if not then we will award 1st three male & female at finish line for 5k and 1st boy & girl for 1k & 2k at finish line. Veteran awards may be held back until the following race in December. Please remember to retain your race number for subsequent races in the Series.

Racing this past weekend - battling the storms 30th & 31st October!
The storms and rain meant that a number of Harriers were unable to compete this past weekend. Andrew & Gill Tindal were due to compete at the 2-day OMM (Original Mountain Marathon) in Langdale Valley in the Lake District but it was cancelled on the Thursday morning after heavy storms took out the Race HQ Marquees and parking arrangements with large areas of flooding.
On Sunday, a couple of Harriers were prevented from getting to the start line of the Dorset Three Peaks – Stickler race when the roads to the event proved impassable due to flood water & road closures.
One Harrier did get through, however, and Paul Chadwick finished in 152nd place despite starting at least 5 minutes behind everyone else & passing 200 of the runners before the finish line for a time of 1.42 for the 10.1 mile circuit taking him to the tops of Okeford Beacon, Hambledon and Hod Hill. Crossing the River Stour near the very end was the trickiest bit with water up to thigh level after stepping off the pedestrian bridge coming back into Shillingstone.
Racing the next few weekends
Good luck to the Harriers competing at the 2nd of the Wessex XC League fixtures this coming Sunday 7th November, and also for those who will be competing at the Gwent XC League the following Sunday, 14th.
Entries for the Gwent League are made on the day but check with Jon & Simon at training as to who is going to share transport and ensure just 1 team sheet is submitted on the day. A few Harriers will also be competing at the Drogo 10mile Fell Race on the 14th, starting and finishing at Castle Drogo on the edge of Dartmoor.
