Deb & Craig achieve pbs at Easter Bunny whilst a large group of Harriers take on the Shapwick Trail Challenge! Plus this month's 'Blast from the past'

Deb Glover & Craig Foley were the only Harriers to run at the Yeovilton Easter Bunny 10k and in what seemed like perfect conditions in a big 'race-full' field they both achieved personal bests. Deb home in 43.14 and Craig back in 44.25. Meanwhile at the Shapwick Trail race over approximately 7.5 miles Oli Frost was first Harrier in 8th place in 48.05.

Deb was 87th at the Easter Bunny whilst Craig was 107th in a field of 404 finishers. Disappointingly for some there were no Easter eggs this year(!) but a distinctive medal instead. The Race also counted in the Somerset Race Series 2017, and the next race will be at Glastonbury on 30th April. There is also the Wells Fun Run coming up soon - Harriers should be prepared to help in advance, if running, or on the day, if not.

At the Shapwick race, Oli was followed home by Graham Goldsmid in 20th, 51.40 and then Hywel Thomas, 26th in 53.41. Other Harrier positions and times were: 34th Justin Thomas 56.00; 65th Jacob Longman 62.16; 67th Michelle Blackmore 62.54; 69th Cath Goldsmid 64.35; 76th Tony Watts  67.44; 77th Jon Rowe 67.44; 96th Mary Powell 75.20; 128th Jenny Adams 93.36; 136th Kim Sadd 93.32.

The two Harrier teams for the Wessex Ridgeway Relay have now been finalised and circulated; and the Cotswold Way relay teams will be sent out this week. We have space for one more female in the competitive mixed team at the Cotswold Way. Please contact Paul asap if you want to be in the team.
