Wells City Harriers

"A FRIENDLY RUNNING CLUB THAT WELCOMES ATHLETES OF ALL AGES AND ABILITIES"

What a talented lot the juniors are!

Three of the junior Harriers were competing for the Somerset Schools Association teams last Weekend (Sept 19th & 20th) at the English School Multi-events Championships and were successful in achieving team medals, along with a host of personal bests. Vicky McCabe and Elise Thorner were part of the 4 strong Junior Girl team (u15s) to win team Gold; whilst Ollie Thorner was part of the junior boys team that gained bronze. All were competing in the pentathlon with the 5 events challenging their athleticism: Hurdles; Shot put; Long Jump; High Jump; 800m.
